                Before Performing His Poem

Call me silly - or not
But this old young lady prays a lot.
Tonight I ask Him to thank and embrace
A dead poet, filled with élan and grace.

May the fuel of his words, hit once again
With my bellows full of oxygen
Ignite the Spirit to burn inside,
Where Truth and Joy as one may abide.
